What is Alpha Phi Omega

Alpha Phi Omega is a National Coed Service Fraternity composed of college students gathered together in an organization based on brotherhood and founded on the principles of leadership, friendship and service and its aim is to further the freedom that is our national educational and intellectual heritage.

Who can join?

Any student who is enrolled at Texas A&M University,  who joins with our chapter’s members in their service projects, accepts the principles of Scouting on which the Fraternity’s ideals are based, and meets the standard of the chapter is eligible to join Alpha Phi Omega.

Why should I join?

College should be more than just the acquisition of facts and figures; it also should broaden your experiences, expand and test your inherent abilities, and sharpen your social skills. Alpha Phi Omega, through its unique program of Leadership, Friendship, and Service can add this neccessary but often lacking aspect of college life, and at the same time enable you to help others while helping yourself.

When can I join?

It is very simple to begin the pledging process in Alpha Phi Omega. All that is required is attendance at a one of these meetings:

September 10 – Rudder 601 at 3:30 pm

September 17 – Rudder 601 at 3:30 pm

September 24 – Rudder 601 at 3:30 pm

After completing the necessary requirements for the semester, you will be eligible to become an active member of Xi Delta at the conclusion of the pledging period.

The informationals and rush events are optional. They are a way for you to talk to us in person. We are non-selective (meaning no application/interview). If you want to do service, we can help you do that.
